I want to love the Parot Bebop Drone but it just won’t let me… I bought the drone only – no controller.

Dennis W. Mau says:

Bebop is not ready for Prime Time. After following the instructions to the letter I took Bebop outside on a calm day and sat it down and hit takeoff. It shot up to about 6 feet and hovered perfectly. I was controlling it with my Ipad which for awhile worked really well and I was thinking this thing is cool. Then suddenly it started gaining altitude for no reason and I immediately tried to bring it down and it responded by shooting skywards at warp speed and there was nothing I could do to stop it. I tried the return home button…

B. Lee says:

Good Drone for the Cost I think the vastly polarized reviews on the Bebop, ultimately come down to expectations and if people are willing to put in the effort to go online and read the online manual). I bought the Bebop as a replacement to a cheaper camera equipped quadcopter from China that had a motor burn out within a week. I had so much fun flying the cheaper version that I wanted something a little more stable and easier to fly and capture video, but I wasn’t willing to shell out over a grand for a DJI Phantom…
