NOTE: This system will work with the DJI Phantom 2 as long as a GoPro is being used. If you are using the Zenmuse gimbal you will need to make sure the cable doesn’t snag on the gimbal and allow for its normal range of motion with no resistance. The Phantom II doesn’t come with a balance charger so a separate charger needs to be purchased. The original balance charger that came with the DJI Phantom 1 can work (BC20-4). You also have the option to use the Phantom 2 integrate power.

Important Notice: This product may require a radio license, please check with your local laws pertaining to operating in the 5.8Ghz frequency at 200mW. For more information, please visit the KumbaCam’s FAQ page.

Save yourself the trouble and buy this one! Many thanks for this kit and to KumbaCam for saving a video project.I bought this kit to replace one that I tried to piece together to save a buck. If you are a DIYer, save yourself the trouble and just buy this one. After a day of driving around buying wires, connectors, adapters (had to drive far for those since they are speciality), solder and velcro… My transmitter fried upon turning my DJI phantom 2 on. The transmitter was purchased off of Amazon and the schematic said it…

Simplicity with functionality Users have many FPV options to select from. I have used the goggle type and found that having a spotter is recommended because you only see what the camera is seeing and not what’s around you quadcopter. The Kumba Cam monitor is a complete unit with everything you need to be operational in minutes. The included battery sent for the transmitter is nice to have to run preflight test with the gopro. You can attach the transmitter with the transmitter battery if your quadcopter is not modified to…

The KumbaCam has really helped me to get my shots lined up just right (sometimes it’s hard to tell where it’s pointing when it’s way up in the air). Set up took about 30 minutes and was easy with the help of the online video tutorial. I found that the range on this is very similar to the range of the Phantom transmitter – just right for what I need. One thing to watch out for: make…
