The Lumenier QAV250 Mini FPV Quadcopter Carbon Fiber Edition airframe has all the features of the standard QAV250 plus the added benefits of carbon fiber. The pure 3K carbon fiber material gives the airframe incredible strength while at the same time reducing the overall weight. The entire assembled kit weighs in at only 122g. The QAV250 is a symmetric 250mm size airframe that accommodates 5″ props. The 250mm is measured motor shaft to motor shaft diagonally. The airframe is designed to support a 3s lipo setup and powerful Lumenier FX2206-13 2000kv, FXC1806-14 2300kv or FXC2206-11 2350kv motors.

This frame looked really cool, and seemed like it would be very sturdy This frame looked really cool, and seemed like it would be very sturdy. I read lots of good things about it, and went ahead and got it. My first crash was from about 30 feet up, going about 5 mph (I accidentally flipped it over), and in that crash, a few layers of the carbon fiber on one arm are broken, two landing gear posts are completely gone, and the other two were bent. Other 3k carbon fiber frames I have read about seem to be more resilient to crashes. Make sure to get some kind of…

broke it in a week. i all ready cracked one of the arms! That’s disappointing for the price and i only crashed from 15 feet onto soft ground. One of my props came apart and the thing went straight down onto that arm. it’s still flyable and i’ll keep flying it till it breaks, but i will not buy another one of these frames. i’ll try one with replaceable arms next.
